If you’re in the process of building a BEAUTIFUL website / sales funnel / social media campaign and you’re thinking, “Yeah, this is harder than I thought,” you are in good company. In November of 2025 I decided to leave my marketing job and launch my own business helping business owners with photography and videography.
What no one tells you is the overwhelming amount of decisions that need to be made to create a space that connects with people you’re trying to reach. Suddenly, every sentence feels like it’s auditioning for a talent show. Too flat. Too formal. Too “who even talks like that?” The words show up out of order, the photos need constant adjusting, and don’t even get me started on the email sequences; those little monsters will keep you up at night.
And yet … I fell in love with it the same way you keep showing up for that workout class that kicks your butt week after week.
Google became my best friend. My saved TikToks deserved their own honorary degree. I dug through so much “expert advice” that half the time I needed advice on how to interpret the advice. And somewhere between the headaches and the tiny celebrations, I realized something huge:
I didn’t just want to finish my own website. I wanted to help other people who were drowning in the same mess.
Because there’s a moment, right in the middle of the overwhelm, where you think, “I just wish someone could tell me what actually matters.” You want someone who can filter out the noise. Someone who can say, “You don’t need that tool. You do need this headline. And yes, that photo is perfect! Stop retaking it!”
That’s why I feel so strongly about this little business of mine.
I’ve been in that dark little corner with 47 open tabs at 1 AM … trying to put all the pieces of the puzzle together. It would’ve been so much more enjoyable with someone working through the decisions with me!
